The MSCSE program is designed for working professionals who have a bachelors
degree in either computer science, computer engineering, or electrical
engineering. The program allows
students with a strong hardware background to expand into the software area and
students with a strong software background to expand into the more hardware
oriented areas of engineering and computer science. The course plan and requirements for
each student are determined by the student's background and must be pre-approved
prior to the start of classes. A
typical graduate class in this program is a four credit hour class and is made
up of a three-hour upper level undergraduate class plus a substantial project
which typically results in a publication or presentation. All students are expected to complete
a thesis which must be published or presented at a regional or national
conference.
Full time students enrolled in the program take two or three courses per term.
The program may be completed on a part time basis.
